The Society of Kalamata “23 March” is a non-profit volunteer organization established in 1983 by Greek migrants to Australia, whose ancestry hailed from the region of Kalamata, Messinia in the southern Peloponnese, to promote Greek culture, with a focus on the region of Messinia / Kalamata, Greece. The Society aims to unite the Greeks of Messinian descent that were born in or are a descendant of a person born in Messinia Greece. The Society is the most active Messinian organisation in Victoria.
