Since 1983, the Society of Kalamata 23 March together with fellow Messinian Clubs, organized an annual picnic for their members, family and friends at Sorrento Park, Sorrento.  Hundreds of people would arrive by bus or car and celebrate their Greek origins with one another in the form of a “Glendi” which included traditional food, folk dancing, music, laughter and good conversation.

Since 2023, the Society of Kalamata 23 March has transitioned this event in the form of an Annual Luncheon at Rochford Winery, in the Yarra Valley region.  Again the essense of our Messinian culture continues with fine food, music, dancing together with friendships formed and renewed during this popular and successful event.
